Mutations

Shiny and Galaxy mutations guide

Mutations change more than the numbers — they raise the printed rarity and fill their own index slots.

What a mutation is

A mutation is a prefix on the object name — Shiny Hyper Turret, Galaxy Wood Block. The index tracks Regular, Shiny and Galaxy as separate tabs, so a mutated copy is a distinct collection entry rather than a skin.

The important part is that a mutation changes the rarity the game prints, not just the stats. A plain Wood Block reads as Basic. Its Galaxy version reads as Legendary with 5,250 health against the plain version's 500.

How to unlock Shiny

Mutations are gated behind the skills menu. A skill called Shiny Objects was seen at 10,000 coins, which opens the Shiny tier for rolls. Galaxy sits further along the same progression.

Until that skill is bought, you will not see Shiny outcomes on the roll table even if crafting can still print them on relic recipes.

Crafting is the practical Galaxy path

Relic crafts roll 92% plain, 7% Shiny, 1% Galaxy (Heavy Harpoon uses 88/11/1). That 1% is the reason mid-game players bank materials for the crafting machine instead of only rolling.

Galaxy Space Block was read at level 54 with 12.1M health and Divine rarity — a separate entry from the plain Primordial Space Block.

Do not copy mutated stats onto plain objects

Community tables sometimes quote a single Galaxy multiplier for every object. We only publish pairs we could measure. The Wood Block comparison is 10.5× on base health and much higher on per-level growth — not the widely repeated 7× figure.

Objects only ever seen mutated are left without a base rarity on this site for that reason.

Index completion still matters

Filling Shiny and Galaxy slots raises the same index luck claim as Regular slots. Hunting mutations is collection progress and luck progress at the same time.

FAQ

Shiny and Galaxy mutations guide FAQ

Is Galaxy really 7x?

Not in the Wood Block comparison we measured. Galaxy Wood Block has 10.5× the health of the plain version. Other objects may differ; we only publish pairs we have on screen.

Should I craft or roll for Galaxy?

Craft. A relic recipe gives a flat 1% Galaxy roll on a result you wanted anyway.
